How to tell if a Jellycat is suitable from birth

How to tell if a Jellycat is suitable from birth

Did you know there’s a super easy way to tell if a Jellycat is suitable from birth? If not don’t worry because I’m going to show you!

Jellycat Tag of a Jellycat suitable from birth

As you can see in the image of the tag of this Jellycat Bashful Sunshine Bunny above, the back half of the tag (with the price sticker on) is only around two thirds of the size of the front half. A jellycat with a tag like this one means that this Jellycat is suitable from birth- so be sure to look out for this when buying a Jellycat for a newborn!

The Tag of a Jellycat that is NOT suitable from birth

Unlike the other tag you’ve just seen, on this tag on the Jellycat Alonso Alpaca both halves of the label are the same length, this indicating that this particular Jellycat is not suitable from birth. This is usually due to a specific type of fur material that is used that isn’t recommended for babies.

So now you know how to check your Jellycats tags next time you are shopping for your new forever cuddle buddies!
